At long last, the Magellan RoadMate App for iPhone is finally released, where it will feature the familiar award-winning interface that is found on their range of dedicated personal navigation devices. Good news for those who rely on their iPhone’s GPS capability to help them get around – this app is a one-time purchase without the need for any recurring subscription fees. The Magellan RoadMate App for iPhone will also play nice with the iPod touch 2G, although you will need to pick up the Magellan Premium Car Kit which is sold separately. Features available include spoken street name guidance, highway lane assist, in-app music control, iPhone address book integration and pedestrian mode among others. Most of the maps are current and provided by NAVTEQ, where you can pick up this app for $39.99.
