Marvell has come up with a brand new tablet which will run off the Google Android operating system. Currently at the prototype stage, this 10″ tablet relies on an ARM-based Armada processor for all its number crunching muscle, apart from 1080p video playback support without adversely affecting battery life. While the prototype does seem to point towards Android 1.6, we do hope that the finished product will ship with version 2.1 of the OS instead. This Marvell tablet will most probably target publishers who want an e-reader alongside the ability to display color and play video, albeit with more control over their own platform.
