While Microsoft has made it known that that most Windows Mobile 6.5 handsets won’t be able to make the upgrade jump to the Windows Phone 7 Series, there is still a small trick left – relying on the beta version of a Windows Phone 7 theme for Windows Mobile. Getting your game on is pretty simple by downloading and installing a .cab file, where among the features made available will include Live tiles with rotating pictures, a Bing search utility with a background that will change to match the Bing picture of the day, as well as a program launcher which resembles the Windows Phone 7 Series/Zune HD app launcher. Don’t expect this to be refined since it is still in beta mode.
