The Microsoft Zune HD 4.5 update is ready to rock and roll in two weeks’ time, with it boasting a primary feature of bringing Smart DJ to the device itself, where it can then create entire playlists based on the theme of a single song just like what Apple’s Genius does at the moment. As for Zune Pass owners, they will benefit most from the Zune HD 4.5 update since the player is able to download up to 30 more recommended songs over Wi-Fi in order to fill up the playlist. Apart from that, when your Zune HD is connected to the Zune HD AV Dock, it allows you to browse the Zune Marketplace and stream songs straight from the service just like how one would do over a desktop. Other updates include support for XviD and other AVI-framed videos, a Picks feature that provides a recommended list of songs to download based on Social preferences. Still wondering how the Zune HD is like? Check out our review for more information. Also, we do wonder whether this has anything to do with the boo-boo concerning the Zune HD 64.
