SlingPlayer intends to make its presence known to different platforms, and it will be making its way to the Android operating system later this summer. From what you can see from this video, it looks more than decent, and will function on both 3G and Wi-Fi networks, where Slingbox owners will soon be able to watch TV on the go. No idea on pricing though, but we would recommend you have an unlimited data plan if you’re planning to take advantage of your 3G connection with this.

Android Android is mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Although Android is not a community-driven project, Google does release the source code as open-source under the Apache license
