Western Digital has joined the likes of Toshiba in offering 750GB capacities for slim 2.5-inch SATA hard drives via its WD Scorpio Blue 750GB hard drive. The hard drive manages to cram 750GB into two platters, allowing it to fit into the typical 9.5mm height used by most notebooks. The drive sports 8MB of cache, and will utilize the new Advanced Format that we mentioned before, allowing it to provide more usable space on a given disk. It’s currently shipping and will set you back $149.
