Will Wars Be Taken Underground With The Robotic Underground Munition?

Sure, we battle on the land, sea, and in the air, but could the next phase of war be underground? Based on the US Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s request for a robot that is capable of navigating underground, it could well be that we’ll have to guard against underground threats in the future too. The result of this idea is the Robotic Underground Munition (RUM), an underground robot that would first soft land, then begin drilling into the earth until it reaches its target, which it will then presumably blow up some way or another. All is fair in love and war, isn’t it?
