Alex eReader to ship on April 14th

Spring Design has just announced that their anticipated dual screen multimedia Alex eReader will start to ship tomorrow (April 14), where it will add a mere 11 ounces to your luggage when traveling, and is capable of supporting eBooks in EPUB, PDF, HTML and TXT formats. Not only that, you will be able to browse the Internet thanks to built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, while models that come out later this year will include 3G and EVDO/CDMA connectivity as well. Multitasking is thrown into the mix, which means you can listen to MP3s while you read, or watch video on the LCD display while reading an eBook on the EPD screen. The Alex eReader will set you back by $399, where it includes headphones, AC connector, USB cable, a protective cover and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes. Looks like the eBook market is heating up as more and more players throw their lot in there!
