Android-powered phone works as Tricorder

Let’s face it – most Android-powered phones are attached to a rather nerdy owner, and this will surely but surely pan out to include a mini-battle on their hands – specifically one that involves Star Wars vs. Star Trek. Well, the Tricorder app favors the latter, since it will closely resemble animation and beeps with sounds from the show, and you will be able to obtain readouts such as a graphed accelerometer status, audio analysis (in decibels), geographic readout using a compass and GPS, and signal power readings based on 3G and WiFi. Not only that, it will also be able to show off an analysis of the sun’s environment which includes photographs of sunspots and its corona. Apart from all that, it will also translate the current date into a Stardate for added authenticity. Guess this applies only to Trekkies, others will find no relevant use for it.
