3D movies seem to be the big thing these days, and we wonder when will the novelty wear off – or will it? We assume when 3D viewing becomes mainstream in homes, then there might just be a market for biodegradable 3D glasses since these could easily get misplaced or lost in a home with kids, and you won’t have to feel too bad knowing that it isn’t going to pollute the environment in any way. Unlike current 3D glasses that are made using petroleum-based plastic, these new models will be made with plastic derived from plant materials. According to Cereplast and Oculus3D, they will distribute their glasses this summer.
