Black Nintendo Wii To Finally Launch In The US?

This has been such a long time coming that it’s not even funny anymore. Word is going around that major retailers such as Target, GameStop and Future Shop have stated that the black version of the Nintendo Wii will be going on sale on May 9th in the US, with the Canadian release set for May 23rd. The console itself is identical to the current white version, but the bundle will include a Wiimote, Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resortland and Wii MotionPlus upgrade. The price is speculated to be at $199. It’s worth noting that the lucky folks over in Japan have had the black version of the Nintendo Wii since last year.
