Bluetooth 4.0 protocol to be finalized by this June

The Bluetooth SIG has just announced that its 4.0 update to the Bluetooth protocol will be finalized and delivered to manufacturers before June 2010 is over. Just a simple case of revision here – Bluetooth 4.0 is touted to offer ultra-low power consumption that could theoretically be powered for years by a coin-celled battery, apart from rudimentary upgrades to data transfer rates as well as an increased range which could touch 200 feet and beyond.
