Dell Offers To Activate 3G Notebooks Online

Dell looks like it’s doing its bit to help make our lives a little easier, as it has just launched its new Dell Mobile Activation Center, eliminating the need for users who purchase a 3G notebook to visit or phone the respective carrier to enable the mobile data service. Via the new method, purchasers will be prompted at checkout to active the Dell notebooks with AT&T or Verizon’s data card, and a choice of plans will be offered, possibly including further discounts on the hardware. If progress is making things more convenient for the consumer, we certainly like it.
