3D looks set to stay, with the DXG-321 consumer level camera boasting a 3D viewfinder, recording standard definition video as well as shooting still images in 2D or 3D, depending on your choice. It is equipped with a flip-out 3.2″ LCD display that function as a viewscreen when recording, while a 7″ display will show off 3D content without the need for special 3D glasses (could this be supplied by Sharp?). This 3D camcorder will make full use of side-by-side lenses to capture images from a couple of perspectives. All stills are captured in resolutions of up to 5 megapixels, while videos can be stored onto an SD memory card in AVI format. You won’t find any HDMI output for this though, since it doesn’t handle full HD recording. Expect the DXG-321 to retail for $600 thereabouts when it hits the market.
