Fujitsu has come up with a rather useful power strip that should be well received my folks who are conscious about electricity usage. What this power strip does is it measures the electrical energy used in each outlet in real time, in order to help figure out how much electricity is being used in an office. By combining the data with a scheduler, you’ll even be able to know how much energy is consumed in the absence of the user. Each outlet of the power strip has a contactless power sensor that can measure up to 2,000W. The data is transmitted over the network via a transmitter connected to a USB port on the side of the power strip. Would you want to go through the energy usage of your home/office in order to minimize wastage?
