In case you like details, Gogo’s service uses an EV-DO Rev. A 3G connection to the ground, and shares it via a Wi-Fi hotspot. Access to the service can be purchased through carriers who offer flights with onboard Wi-Fi, such as AirTran, American, Delta and Virgin.
