Google Docs Gets Rebuilt To Improve Performance

Everybody has come to love (and some hate) Google Docs, even though it still isn’t able to fully replace Microsoft Office just yet. Now Google looks like it’s planning to turn up the heat on Microsoft, as the search engine giant has decided to rebuild the underlying infrastructure of Docs to offer greater flexibility, improved performance and a better platform for developing new features. You can check out a video illustrating the changes in this latest update, or read about the changes, which include:

  • A faster spreadsheet editor
  • A better document editor
  • New Collaborative drawing editor
