
While it’s not explicitly mentioned, you have to wonder whether the latest promotional video of the HP Slate is taking digs at Apple’s newly launched iPad. The video clip (after the jump) doesn’t mention anything about specs, pricing or availability, but it does remind us that the device supports SD cards, as well as USB connectors, something which isn’t available on the iPad by default. The funny thing is, the HP Slate seems to be running iTunes (which is fine) and the USB cable that’s plugged into the device looks awfully similar to Apple’s iPhone USB cable. Could it be a subtle message from HP that this device is as good as, or better than Apple’s iPad?
