HTC Hero Android 2.1 update delayed yet again

Hmmm, the Android 2.1 update for the HTC Hero seems to be forever in coming, with its previously delayed release date being delayed yet again, this time round with a slated June release. Of course, this applies to European HTC Hero variants only, where owners of said smartphone will receive an initial preparatory update in the interim period before the full Éclair update arrives on the airwaves. Best to get that unlimited data plan if you want to download this update, otherwise do look for a free Wi-Fi hotspot.
