It seems that the upcoming and improved Intel Atom processor, also known as the Cedar Trail platform, will offer a range of improvements over the current Pine Trail-powered netbooks by boasting better HD video playback capabilities and 1080p Intel Wireless display 2.0 support. The latter means you can stream HD video content straight to your HDTV sans wires, although you will need to make sure that there is an adapter connected to your HDTV for it to work. The Cedar Trail Atom processor range is tipped to be released sometime next year.
