Kakai working on Kindle rival for the classroom

Tech startup Kakai is said to be working on a new device which will rival the Amazon Kindle for the classroom, and while we do not have any image or photo of said device, it has a very good chance of coming with a dual display, powered by a Linux operating system while supporting gesture-based touch to navigate through its user interface. Positioned as a hybrid e-reader and notepad, this Kakai offering will feature software and web access, relying on LCDs instead of e-paper. Well, we do hope to see something more concrete roll out sometime in the near future.
