Looks like the lure of social networking is too attractive to even Amazon’s Kindle. The online retailing giant has just announced the 2.5 firmware update for its Kindle and Kindle DX eBook readers. The update is currently being rolled out to a limited group of Kindle users, but the full release should be going live come the end of May. Notable improvements in this new firmware include the ability to organize books and documents into collections, pan and zoom within PDF files, Kindle password protection, and the ability to share book passages with your friends on Facebook and Twitter.
