Lexar Media Professional 600X Compact Flash card

Lexar Media has just introduced its latest Professional 600X Compact Flash card that will come in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities, boasting a minimum sustained write speed of 90MBps when plugged into a UDMA 6-capable reader. The 32GB capacity Professional 600x CF card will retail for $500, while the 16GB card is going for $300 with the 8GB card being the most economical of the lot at $200. This will target those who spend plenty of time with their DSLR cameras, with lots of photos to be transferred to and fro while maximizing time. Ordinary shutterbugs should be happy with something lesser (and cheaper).

Lexar: Lexar Media, Inc., popularly known as Lexar, was founded in 1996 by Petro Estakhri. The company is based in Fremont, California, and it originated from one of Cirrus Logic's divisions. Lexar spun off from Cirrus Logic in 1996 and was eventually acquired by Micron Technology in 2006. The company then merged with Crucial Technology under the name Lexar Media, and also extended an agreement with Eastman Kodak Company to produce Kodak-branded flash memory products. Some of Lexar's products include SD cards, memory sticks, compact flash drives, card readers, key drives, and more.
