Mobile Phone Contacts Sync For Ubuntu One Users On iPhone

Word is out that the Ubuntu One cloud service will soon be getting support for mobile contact synchronization, and it’s a feature that will be available to users who are paying for the higher tier of the Ubuntu One service. The mobile synchronization will be powered by Funambol, a mobile push synchronization platform, and will work on a wide range of devices that are supported by Funambol’s client software. Despite the service being offered to paying Ubuntu One customers, folks who are using Ubuntu One for free can also give it a test drive for 30-days, and the free trial will begin following the release of Ubuntu 10.04, which is just around the corner.
