Who would have thought that an ordinary shoe could one day see life as a turntable? That’s exactly what happened with the latest Japanese campaign for Nike’s Free Run+ running shoes, where it apparently markets the bendable qualities of its new footwear. Nike decided to enlist sound artists to transform its product into a musical instrument, where shoes are plugged in, turned on and mixed up in a DJ battle-style. There is no visual trickery involved since the shoes are really controlling digital sound live – now how about that! Hopefully new sneakers are used as old ones are obviously smelly!
