NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 in the works

Word has it that NVIDIA is working on its DirectX 11 compatible GeForce GTX 460 graphics card that will be based on the Fermi architecture. As you can tell by its model number alone, this won’t be as powerful a performer as the GTX 470 although that doesn’t mean that it is a slouch when it comes to performance, boasting enough processing firepower to hold its own against the ATI Radeon HD 5850. Features of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 include a 256-bit memory interface, 1GB of GDDR5 memory, and DirectX 11 technology support. Expect to see this graphics card hit the market this coming June for under three Benjamins.
