NVIDIA is currently working to unify its entire range of GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) drivers in order for both desktop and mobile users to apply the latest releases simultaneously without having to sit around and wait for weeks on end sometimes. Of course, both desktop and notebook drivers won’t come in the same package, although each one will be marked clear enough not to be missed on the download page. Bear in mind that the unified release driver will play nice only with notebooks that sport discrete GPUs, hybrid solutions utilizing NVIDIA-branded IGPs and Optimus-enabled machines, so those using multi-vendor solutions will miss out on this.
