The rumors surrounding Palm seem to be increasing daily, and now word is going around that the troubled company is considering licensing some of its patents as a means to boost its finances. While not explicitly specifying the webOS operating system, it’s hard to discount the possibility of such a move. Of course, considering the popularity of Google’s free Android OS and the fact that rumored suitors such Lenovo and HTC already tout many Android-powered devices, it might be a tad hard to imagine a webOS-powered HTC device just yet. Of course, one of the obvious benefits of webOS would be its true multitasking, which allows many programs to process tasks simultaneously. Do you think that Palm would eventually license its webOS if things become bad enough?
