Palm's SVP Of Software Will Be Leaving The Company

By now, most of you already know that Palm is going through a rather rough patch, and it had to make some rather juicy offers to its executives in order to ensure that they stay on. Now, word is out that Michael Abbott, Palm’s Senior VP of software and services, the person who has been largely responsible for webOS, will be leaving the company on April 23rd. It’ll be interesting to see if this move affects the possible acquisition of Palm by the rumored companies such as Lenovo, HTC and Huawei. Looks like we’ll have to wait and see what happens in the end. Do you think Palm will be able to make it through this rough patch in one piece?
