Redrock Micro has announced a couple of new HDSLR remote accessories, where the microTape sonar autofocus unit as seen above comes with an integrated rangefinder providing autofocus functionality for moving subjects. Apart from that, there will also be a wireless remote for the system which uses an iPhone or iPod touch in order to take advantage of Apple’s touchscreen interface, while a hardware focus wheel makes way for controlling an HD-video capable DSLR which cannot be accessed while on set. Hopefully the price points for these professional equipment will be pocket friendly.
