Samsung’s BD-UP5000 Blu-ray player has just gotten its latest firmware update version 1.5, which is nearly a 18 months after the hardware was released. It seems that this firmware update will improve playback compatibility in selected movies, and one of them would definitely be the Avatar Blu-ray playback issue which was originally non-playable no thanks to the new encryption scheme. The update itself weighs in at slightly more than 30MB, so it shouldn’t take too long to download.
