Samsung SPH-W9600 AMOLED Beam Lands In Korea

The successor to the Samsung Haptic Beam (SPH-W7900) has a built-in 9-lumen projector module which is capable of projecting images up to 50-inches in size. With its 5-megapixel camera, terrestrial DMB, Microsoft Office support and DivX codec support, you can be sure that you won’t run out of things to show via its projector.

AMOLED stands for Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode, is a display technology in which an electro-luminescent organic compound (organic=contains Carbon) is used to light up pixels. Active Matrix refers to a technique to control the pixels and sub-pixels (RGB components) state which was introduced in the mid-70s. Active Matrix is used with many kinds of displays, but the most famous are TFT LCD and AMOLED.
