Sony to enable 3D capabilities on PS3 with new firmware upgrade

Sony is preparing to roll out a spanking new firmware upgrade this June which will enable 3D capabilities on the PS3, albeit for titles on the PlayStation Network (PSN) only, as this does not apply to Blu-ray movies. Of course, folks who want 3D Blu-ray movies might look forward to a second firmware update later this year. Folks who pick up Sony’s HX803 will have free access to 4 remastered PSN Titles – Wipeout HD, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, PAIN and Stardust HD. Looks like the PS3 is doing its part in being future proof pretty well!
