Utopia iPad clone seen

Check out yet another iPad clone to hit the scene, this time round “thanks” to yet another China manufacturer. Powered by an Android operating system, this 7″ display comes with 800 x 480 resolution and measures a pretty svelte 14mm in terms of thickness, while tipping the scales at 320 grams. It is capable of 720p video playback, but don’t expect it to handle 1080p videos. The Rockchip RK2808 chipset is an obvious giveaway thanks to the Rockchip sticker located at the bottom, letting us know that it has a fully capable chipset when it comes to handling multimedia playback. Too bad we do not have information on pricing or availability as at press time.

iPad: the iPad is Apple's tablet computer. While not "invented" by Apple (the newton was arguably a PDA), the iPad has re-ignited the tablet format as it appeared at the right time, with the right hardware and apps. the first iPad was launched on April 2010. It was followed by the iPad 2 in March 2011 and a new iPad (gen 3) in 2012.
