Verizon stocks up on HTC Incredible for launch day

Verizon seems to have high hopes for the HTC Incredible as its launch day approaches, with the company stocking up on dummy in-store display units (PCD ADR6300 MOCK UP) as well as screen protectors for the same device (PCD ADR6300 SCREEN PROTE). Currently, they have 7,500 mock-up units in stock, residing safely at their warehouses alongside an entire army of screen protectors (all 21,600 of them) which are ready to enter “battle” wherever the HTC Incredible is launched. Most folks still look towards April 29th as launch day for this new Android handset.

Android: Android is the mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. HTC: High Tech Computer Corporation (HTC) is a Taiwanese manufacturer of smartphones and tablets. The company started as an ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) that was building devices for others, but went on making HTC-branded smartphones based mostly on Microsoft's Windows operating system (OS) for mobile. In 2009, it began to shift its core focus away from Windows mobile devices to Android-based ones. In 2010 the company went back to the Windows Phone eco-system.

Verizon: Verizon Communications Inc is a broadband and telecommunications company. It is mainly known for its Verizon Wireless division which is the largest wireless carrier in the United States, and one of the largest in the world.
