With the popularity of tablet devices, it’s good to see that netbooks are still around, as a physical keyboard is still very important to many folks. Now it seems that Sony is gearing up for some new netbooks, as the Japanese company has had two devices pass through the FCC’s gates, namely the PCG-51311L and the PCG-51411L. It wasn’t specifically mentioned that it’s a netbook, but from the drawings, it does pretty much fit the netbook bill or a large notebook with an ugly protruding battery (less likely). It’s also been noted that these computers will be using the same power adapter as the Sony Vaio W series of netbooks, which should further cement the netbook point. As we mentioned in the title, these new models offer a built-in 3G modem, supporting CDMA and EVDO mobile broadband connections, along with Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth, perfect for the road warrior, wouldn’t you say?
