Acer confirms non-existence of Chrome OS netbook at Computex 2010

After having a rumor go around the merry-go-round, Acer decided to put its foot down by issuing a statement to kill off any remaining rumors of Acer launching a Chrome OS netbook at Computex 2010 in Taiwan.

“Despite recent rumours in the press regarding the launch of Chrome OS based netbooks at Computex, Acer today confirms that it has no short-term plans for such a product.”

Bear in mind that this announcement does not mean the company will skip the Chrome OS altogether in the future, but it might take some time before a fruitful partnership will yield some reward. Are you disappointed or non-chalant with the news?
