Out of all the folks who are rocking to Android-powered smartphones, there are bound to be a handful who suffer from a battery life which isn’t able to make it through the day – not something Google intended, according to Larry Page, co-founder of Google. According to him, he suggests that apps running in the background could very well be the problem behind a shorter than expected battery life. According to Google CEO Eric Schmidt, “The primary consumer of the battery life on these phones is the transmit/receive circuit. So tuning that and obviously figuring out a way to not use too much of that extends your battery life.” Guess the blame finger is being pointed at developers now, eh?
