
AT&T had previously dipped its toes into the Android game via the Motorola Backflip, and now leaked information on the Samsung i897 seems to indicate that the carrier is planning to launch a more powerful Android device, one that could possibly hold its own against the likes of the HTC EVO 4G and HTC Droid Incredible. If the leak is accurate, the device will have specifications such as:
- 4-inch AMOLED display
- Android 2.1 operating system without any fancy graphics overlay
- 5-megapixel camera
- Possibly a 1GHz Snapdragon processor
