This is no ordinary toy, as it is a DIY ArduIMU quadcopter from Jose Julio that boasts not only infrared but ultrasonic sensors as well, letting it detect obstacles and fly around them without breaking a sweat. Not only that, the quadcopter is also full well capable of hovering in just one place, returning to the correct altitude even when it is forced down by hand or wind – talk about being a persistent little flyer! Since a picture is worth a thousand words, we hope you enjoy a lengthy “read” through the video right after the jump.
