Asus Eee PC R101 looks set to hit the German market

Somewhere in Europe (Germany, to be exact), lies an inventory of Asus Eee PC R101 netbooks that doesn’t seem as though it will hit the US market anytime soon, since it hasn’t even surfaced on the FCC yet. While we have caughta whiff of it on Amazon.de in the past in the form of a support page, here are more detailed specifications in the R101 that was missing in our previous coverage. We know that the R101 will be powered by Intel’s Atom N450 1.66GHz processor, a 250GB hard drive, a 10.1″ LCD display at 1,024 x 600 resolution, Intel’s GMA 3150 graphics and a battery which is touted to last for up to 9.5 hours, although we are pretty sure that real world usage will differ a whole lot less compared to a lab’s controlled conditions. Expect to fork out €299 for this, which is cheaper than when we first speculated.
