BenQ Joybook R48 announced

BenQ has just rolled out its Joybook R48 that will keep up with the times thanks to the inclusion of an Intel Core i3 processor, coupled with some pretty decent specifications including a 14” 16:9 screen at 1,366 x 768 resolution, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5450 GPU, up to 4GB RAM and a maximum 500GH hard drive. Each purchase of the Joybook R48 will come with a pair of SRS CS headphones that relies on an audio rendering technology that processes 2-channel stereo or surround-encoded content that provides users with a life-like audio experience regardless of whether you are involved in VoIP, movie or gaming sessions. Apart from that, you will be able to enjoy its HDMI port, 802.11 b/g/n connectivity; 1.3-megapixel webcam, a built-in memory card reader, an eSATA slot and optional Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity. No word on pricing, but it ought to retail in the average range of notebooks, being released in China and the Asia Pacific first. We do wonder whether this will hit the FCC or not though…
