Borders Begins To Take Orders For Its $150 Kobo eReader

Just like the tablet market, we’re seeing a whole bunch of eBook readers being dumped into the eBook reader market. We previously brought your attention to the Kobo eReader from Borders, and the company has started to take pre-orders on the device. The American version of the Kobo eReader will be going on sale come June 17th and will be pre-loaded with 100 public domain books. The good thing about the Kobo eReader is that it won’t burn too big a hole in your wallet, as it’s priced at just $150. Aside from the eReader, Borders is planning to open its e-book store which should serve Kobo’s device, as well as offer apps for the iPad, Android and BlackBerry devices.
