Buddy Radio targets older folks to rope them into Facebook, Twitter

Want the more elderly folks in your life to remain connected to you? If they’re having troubles learning how to email, maybe Facebook and Twitter might be a bit too much to have on the same plate as well. Good thing there are solutions to (nearly) everything, and in this particular case we have the Buddy Radio. It is a basic radio that merges new school technology within, letting patients with long-term illnesses broadcast their mood to family, friends, and professional care workers. All you need to do is tun the knob to send accompanying messages to Twitter, Facebook and e-mail addresses among others. While this is a concept, we presume the Buddy Radio will send those as a compressed audio clip, or actually use some form of voice recognition system and translate it into words. Doesn’t look like it will roll out anytime soon though.
