Canon PowerShot SD4000 IS Compact Camera Goes Official

Shopping around for a new compact camera? Well, Canon has just introduced its latest PowerShot, the SD4000 IS. This camera is a 10-megapixel shooter that touts a back-illuminated CMOS sensor, DIGIC4 image processing engine and a healthy 3.8x optical zoom. The use of a f/2.0 lens will do wonders to help you capture pictures on those low-light situations, though you can’t expect a compact camera to perform miracles. Other features of this $349.99 camera include an 8.4fps burst capture rate, HD movie shooting, HDMI output, 3-inch LCD display, and a Super Slow Motion movie mode that can capture subjects at 240fps. This camera also supports SDXC and Eye-Fi memory cards, allowing you to wirelessly transfer your pictures to your PC. Finally, you also have a choice of colors to choose from such as red, silver, black or limited edition white.
