We’ve seen the iRobot M003 ebook reader a while back, and it seems the M003 model name is back, although this time round from Eken, another hardware manufacturer that hails from China. This ebook reader comes with an 8″ LCD display at 800 x 480 resolution alongside Wi-Fi connectivity, a Rockchip 2808A 600MHz processor, 128MB RAM, a touchpad and Android 1.5. Inside, you will find a choice between 2GB or 4GB of flash memory which can be augmented by an SD/SDHC memory card. Depending on your taste, you can choose from white, black and pink colors for less than $240 a pop. Sounds impressive on paper, but bear in mind there is no 3G connectivity here, and 128MB seems a little weak in this day and age, not to mention the lack of a proper content distribution platform.
