Facebook Chat Disabled Temporarily Due To Privacy Issue

Facebook junkies might have noticed that the Facebook Chat is down for maintenance. Turns out that the feature was disabled following a report that there was a security issue that allowed users to access and view friends’ live chats, friend requests and friends in common. This was achieved by using the “Preview My Profile” feature, where you can see how your profile appears to any Facebook friend. This isn’t the first time Facebook has been at the center of an issue with personal information, but hopefully this won’t happen again. Facebook has acknowledged the issue and is currently busy working on a solution to this. Check out a video of the exploit after the jump.
