FCC approves HTC EVO 4G

The folks over at the FCC have finally taken a look at the HTC EVO 4G, and they have given it their collective nod of approval. Also known as the HTC model PC36100 when undergoing scrutiny, the EVO 4G will run WiMAX on both Sprint’s and Clearwire’s 2500MHz band, coupled with the standard suite of CDMA bands with EV-DO. This more or less confirms that the smartphone will be headed toward’s Sprint’s direction, and that should mean Sprint’s PR team is already working, if not completed, all the relevant marketing materials and advertising campaigns to make the HTC EVO 4G a veritable hit.
