Internet retailer 6pm.com makes $1.6 million mistake

They say that mistakes are there for you to learn from, but what happens when yours comes at an astronomical cost – to the tune of $1.6 million? That’s exactly what happened to Internet retailer 6pm.com, where they mistakenly priced most of their products last Friday at $49.99, which is a far cry from the $1,000 price point that selected products on their site go for. Good thing the company will be honoring all purchases made on 6pm.com during the period where the mistake was prevalent, and we can be pretty sure that this won’t happen ever again. No idea on what will happen to the employee(s) who made that mistake – surely there won’t be any bonus for everyone this year?
