Iridium Star Aims To Be A Cheap MacBook Air

There are plenty of cloned Apple devices out in the market and the Iridium Star notebook from China is looking to compete with the Apple’s MacBook Air. The most obvious indication that it wants to eat into Apple’s customer base is the noticeable Apple logo on the lid of this notebook. At $230, it’s a whole lot cheaper than any notebook from Apple, but to be fair, its specifications aren’t near any Apple product either. If you’re on a tight budget and have decided to get this, you can expect specifications such as:

  • 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 160GB hard drive
  • Wi-Fi
  • Windows XP
  • 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 pixel display
  • 2600mAh battery
  • Ethernet port
  • 2x USB 2.0 ports
  • Built-in card reader
  • 1.3-megapixel webcam
